Day 1.
Introduction to Alfredo Genovese, and Fileteado Porteno. A brief touch on his personal history as a very well known visual artist and highly respected Teacher from Buenos Aires Argentina. He will then follow with a more in depth slide show and talk about the origins of this beautiful flamboyant style and the horse carts and vehicles it was traditionally used upon.
After refreshments,...
He will then lead the group through a step by step pencil drawing practice of many of the different three dimensional symbols mainly used.
Finally the group will design their own panel based on one of Alfredos designs. This design will then be used tomorrow when the group will each paint their own panel to take home with them. Or for those more adventurous who may wish to design their own panel he is happy to help guide with layout, balance and composition etc.
Day 2
Today is about Painting your own sign panel. (In Acrylics) So initially we will look at brush handling techniques and types of brushes, how to handle them and then we will all paint a panel with both Alfredo and Jemma on hand for guidance. Alfredo is a true master and has been teaching for the last 30 years and has had thousands of very happy students all over the world. He is a body painter, tattoo designer as well as having painted signs and merchandise for many famous brands and celebrities all over the world.
I can highly recommend this intense workshop. You will be totally engrossed and inspired wether you are an artist or a complete beginner.
